October LTA 2 loved the month of October. We Learned so much and packed a lot of fun into this month. In Pretend play we enhanced our knowledge of goods and services through an apple orchard and pumpkin patch set-up. Students enjoyed making crafts with their favorite color leaves, piling up leaves, telling the colors of apples and sorting them. In Literacy we read “ Wants and Needs” and “ A Treat for School.” During our stories we worked together and in small groups to identify key details and objects that paired with our books we were reading. In the book “ A Treat for School" we learned about buying supplies to make a fruit salad and we used some hands on pretend play money to mimic this experience of buying goods. The students had fun “ buying fruits” with their money and register. In math we focused on counting, identifying matches and circles.
